Still looking for more to read while you are stuck in the house? Here are a few more titles!

Here we have a list of some of the most-read books so far this month. This may not be the entire list, as there are SEVERAL Harry Potter books included in this list, but there are also many other much newer items that remain here. I know that I have already shared some of these books with you in the past, but in knowing the attention that they have received from many other readers right now, it could be helpful to find some of those books that could be quite interesting and entertaining for you. We all have a lot more time at home right now, and many of us are alone. Believe it or not, books can help you fill up a lot of that empty time, so take a look and see if any of these would help you out!

Remember that this list is updated weekly on Amazon, and there will always be options that change regularly. It seems like many people want Harry Potter, but there are also some brand new entries to this list at this point as well. So, take a look at some of these and see if they would be the perfect read for you:

  1. Where the Forest Meets the Stars – After losing her mother and her own battle with breast cancer, Joanna Teale returns to life in rural Illinois, determined to prove that hardships will not break her. Working from dusk to dawn, her solitary routine is disrupted by a mysterious child who shows up at her cabin barefoot and covered in bruises. The girl calls herself Ursa, claiming to be sent from the stars to witness five miracles. Very concerned, Jo reluctantly agrees to let her stay—just until she learns more about Ursa’s past. Jo’s neighbor, Gabriel Nash, helps solve the mystery of the charming child. But the more time they spend together, the more questions they have. How does a young girl read and understand Shakespeare? Why do good things keep happening in her presence? And why aren’t Jo and Gabe checking the missing children’s website anymore? The three have formed an incredible bond, and difficult choices must be made. Near summer’s end, Ursa gets closer to her fifth miracle and her dangerous past closes in. It finally catches up to them, forcefully opening all of their painful secrets, leaving their fates to the stars.
  2. The Guardians – In the small Florida town of Seabrook, a young lawyer named Keith Russo was shot dead at his desk as he worked late one night. The killer left no clues. There were no witnesses, no one with a motive. But the police soon came to suspect Quincy Miller, a young black man who was once a client of Russo’s. Quincy was tried, convicted, and sent to prison for life. For twenty-two years he languished in prison, maintaining his innocence.  But no one was listening.  He had no lawyer, no advocate on the outside. In desperation, he writes a letter to Guardian Ministries, a small nonprofit run by Cullen Post, a lawyer who is also an Episcopal minister. Guardian accepts only a few innocent cases at a time.  Cullen Post travels the country fighting wrongful convictions and taking on clients forgotten by the system. With Quincy Miller, though, he gets far more than he bargained for. Powerful, ruthless people murdered Keith Russo, and they do not want Quincy Miller exonerated. They killed one lawyer twenty-two years ago, and they will kill another without a second thought.
  3. The Silent Patient – Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. A famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house with big windows overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening her husband Gabriel returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face, and then never speaks another word. Alicia’s refusal to talk, or give any kind of explanation, turns a domestic tragedy into something far grander, a mystery that captures the public imagination and casts Alicia into notoriety. The price of her art skyrockets, and she, the silent patient, is hidden away from the tabloids and spotlights at the Grove, a secure forensic unit in North London. Theo Faber is a criminal psychotherapist who has waited a long time for the opportunity to work with Alicia. His determination to get her to talk and unravel the mystery of why she shot her husband takes him down a twisting path into his own motivations—a search for the truth that threatens to consume him…
  4. The Boy from The Woods – Thirty years ago, Wilde was found as a boy living feral in the woods, with no memory of his past. Now an adult, he still doesn’t know where he comes from, and another child has gone missing. No one seems to take Naomi Pine’s disappearance seriously, not even her father-with one exception. Hester Crimstein, a television criminal attorney, knows through her grandson that Naomi was relentlessly bullied at school. Hester asks Wilde-with whom she shares a tragic connection-to use his unique skills to help find Naomi. Wilde can’t ignore an outcast in trouble, but in order to find Naomi he must venture back into the community where he has never fit in, a place where the powerful are protected even when they harbor secrets that could destroy the lives of millions . . . secrets that Wilde must uncover before it’s too late.
