Will the Coronavirus and nationwide protests affect the 2020 election?

For months now, we have faced the Coronavirus as a country with the largest portion of cases and deaths worldwide. Many states were forced to push back the Democratic primaries, with many other events much more important than the coming presidential election. And now we have these violent protests (or riots) storming across our nation.

So, what could we expect for the election itself? Trump has only relied on his presentation of an amazing economy during his time in office, but so much has collapsed so far over the past few months.

40 million unemployed. Violence in the streets. Over 100,000 deaths from a new virus. And we have a president who sits in his office and says nothing. He doesn’t try to bring the nation together. He doesn’t make an effort to return calm to the streets.

What will we, as voters, be able to do in November? Do we need to make a change? Is it so important that true efforts are needed?

I know that I will think this over very seriously. I have to wonder how much darker things would get in America if we were to let Trump stay in office for another four years.
